We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across this website. This is the standard referenced by:

• US ADA Title III (e-commerce case law)
• EU European Accessibility Act (EN 301 549 / WCAG 2.1 AA), in force June 28, 2025
• UK Equality Act 2010
• Canada Accessible Canada Act and AODA

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means some content does not fully conform to the standard. We are actively working to resolve known gaps.

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations and the workarounds or remediation plans in place:

• Product images: Product gallery, lifestyle, and contextual images may have incomplete alt text as new content is added. We are implementing an alt text authoring workflow and conducting an ongoing audit.WCAG 1.1.1 (Non-text Content)
• Background and decorative video: Hero and ambient video loops (e.g., homepage background, product social reels) are decorative and carry no informational content; they include aria-hidden and play muted with no audio track. Full-length informational videos embedded from YouTube benefit from YouTube's auto-generated captions; manual caption review is ongoing.WCAG 1.2.2 (Captions: Prerecorded)
• Downloadable PDF documents: Owner's manuals and cut sheets provided in PDF format may not be fully tagged for screen reader navigation. We are working to remediate existing documents and will ensure new documents are tagged at the time of creation.WCAG 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships)
• Interactive carousels: Product feature carousels on some product detail pages support touch and pointer drag interaction. Keyboard arrow-key navigation is present but may not be uniformly implemented across all carousels. We are standardizing controls.WCAG 2.1.1 (Keyboard)
• Motion and animation: This site uses scroll-triggered animations. We respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query wherever possible; some third-party or legacy animation sequences may not yet honor this preference.WCAG 2.3.3 (Animation from Interactions: AAA, best effort)
• Third-party widgets: Our chat widget, consultation booking tool, and analytics integrations are provided by third-party vendors. BASSBOSS assesses the accessibility of this website using the following approaches:

• Automated scanning with Google Lighthouse and axe DevTools during development
• Manual keyboard navigation testing (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, Arrow keys)
• Screen reader testing using VoiceOver on macOS and iOS
• Color contrast verification against WCAG 2.1 AA ratios (4.5:1 normal text, 3:1 large text)
• Review of semantic HTML structure and ARIA landmark usage

We conduct a formal re-assessment each quarter and after any major release or redesign. This statement was last reviewed on June 8, 2026.
