#UPnXtDJ Contest for Emerging Youth DJs is Back for 2024

BASSBOSS, Hercules Audio, DJX Show, and the #NOCHASER Kidz Café are thrilled to announce the return of the #UPnXtDJ Contest for its second consecutive year. The UPnXt DJ Contest offers a platform for emerging DJs between the ages of 8 and 19 to showcase their talents and compete for the grand prize: a trip to DJX 2024 in Atlantic City where they will perform on the BASSBOSS system and receive a DJControl Inpulse T7 Premium ($799.99 value)!

“UPnXt DJ” contestants will upload a video submission showcasing their DJ skills and unique style. They’ll be judged on transition, diverse genre selection, and creativity.  The winner of the contest will receive an Exclusive VIP trip to Atlantic City, NJ, including an all-access pass to DJX'24 for themselves and one guardian, access to activities passes for discounts and free entry to local activities, and hotel and travel expenses covered for one child and one guardian.

In addition to the grand prize, there will be a 2-hour of private coaching with DJ Hapa valued at $750 for the winner and runner-up. And the top 10 contestants will be invited to perform at DJX'24 at the BASSBOSS sound booth and “Demolition” room, offering a chance to be recognized and celebrated as one of the top young DJs in the country. “Having the opportunity to share their skills with the wider DJ community is an invaluable opportunity for the next generation of new talents,” said Lian Amber, CEO of BASSBOSS. “We’re thrilled to support DJs who are at the beginning of their career and ready for the next level of success, and can’t wait to hear what these DJs are mixing in their shot at winning the contest!”

The UPnXt DJ contest will open for submissions on May 15th 2024, and the entry deadline is June 15th, 2024.

Here's how to enter:

1. Create a video of you DJing that's no more than 5 minutes⁠. You will be judged on transitions, diverse genre selection, and creativity (please state your dj name and age at the beginning).

2. Post a sample video on social media and use #UpnXtDJ

3. Fill out the #UpnXtDJ form

4. Contestants will be judged on creativity, music selections and transitions.⁠

5. Video must be submitted by June 15th, 2024⁠

6. Winners will be announced on July 1st, 2024⁠

Contest runs from May 15 - June 15, 2024. Must be between 8-19 years old to enter. Must live in the continental Unites States to enter. No purchase is necessary, void where prohibited. ⁠
