So small,
so big

The SV9 single 9″ powered top reboots the SV8 with even better performance, higher amplification, remarkable bass performance and outstanding sound quality, in keeping with BASSBOSS tradition.

This versatile cabinet compares to much larger loudspeakers in response and output. The physical construction, design and premium components all contribute to a rich, smooth, sound for any occasion.

The SV9 is a studio-reference quality monitor that can venture outside the studio thanks to rugged finishes, handles, grilles and a substantial amount of power.

The result is a very compact and portable system for those who need premium quality and impressive output, perfect for sound providers and venues who need to cover distanced crowds without large sized, heavy and obtrusive cabinets.

The compact, high fidelity and high output SV9 replaces the popular BASSBOSS SV8 Single 8” Powered Monitor, and continues the tradition of delivering remarkable bass performance and outstanding sound quality.

This single 9” loudspeaker compares to much larger loudspeakers in response and output. Such performance from a much smaller enclosure is made possible by making decidedly different design and component choices than competitors.

The Birch plywood enclosure is strong and solid but very easily portable. The 9” woofer features a large voice coil and a rubber surround for high power handling and smooth response.

The amplifier offers abundant headroom and the proprietary BASSBOSS processing ensures exceptional sound quality and reliability. The cabinet construction, design, and premium components all contribute to a rich, smooth, sound for any occasion.

Does so much

The SV9 is suitable for use as a studio monitor but is equally capable of covering small events. It provides extremely flat frequency response with a neutral character for critical monitoring duties and, thanks to lots of power, it delivers remarkably high output. With an enclosure that is just 18″ x 10″ x 15″ and a mere 26 pounds, smaller events can be covered with ease.

All the money in the world couldn’t get you better sound.

If you are looking to please your customers with pure sonic bliss, and the kind of bass that will get people talking about your rig, then look no further.

Simply put, I’m amazed by the quality of these speakers and sub!!

Alican Bodur (ALI-J) |

They deserve every penny!! I’ve wanted the speakers to be loud but at the same time provide a flat and clean frequency response without distortion because most of the PA speakers in the market, they cannot maintain the flat frequency response, they might either have a muddy, harsh, etc. sound. With those speakers, I got the same quality as my near field studio speakers, and plus the good thing about these Bassboss, I can crack the volume higher and be able to use it on my small parties. Definitely recommend it!

Power &

The amplifier is a 1200W Class D SMPS with PFC, offering 2-channels: 800W LF and 400W HF. The SV9s all new DSP is a significant upgrade from the SV8, offering more processing power. Four presets allow for a variety of configurations.

The custom developed 9” Neodymium LF driver provides larger displacement and higher sensitivity than the previous 8” version. The 2.5” voice-coil offers greater power handling and higher output than the SV8, and the single-roll rubber surround provides a very smooth frequency response.

The SV9 uses an annular diaphragm ring-radiator HF driver. Its lighter diaphragm results in lower distortion and extended HF response. The smaller Neodymium motor of the HF driver offsets the added weight of the larger LF motor, keeping the weight nearly the same as the SV8.

True Specifications

BASSBOSS technical specs are based on measurements of continuous performance in normal usage. Other manufacturers may specify output based on calculations rather than measurements; measurements outside the operating bandwidth; or on ‘Burst’ or ‘Peak’ readings.

BASSBOSS specifications are conservative compared to most manufacturers. They reflect what the products will achieve, consistently, in the real world. Since the real world is where you’ll be using your gear.

Our proactive philosophy causes specifications to be subject to change whenever improvements are made.

*Peak output is calculated using “industry standard” techniques. These calculation methods create theoretical specifications that are inflated over what can actually be achieved. BASSBOSS real world output specifications are provided as “Maximum Sustained Output” ratings, which reflect actual measured, continuous output levels.

Deep Dive

Hand-Built Cabinets

A standard 35mm die-cast steel pole socket is provided in the bottom of the enclosure so it can be mounted above a sub or on a tripod. For installations, a wall-mount bracket is available.

BASSBOSS cabinets are hand-assembled in the USA. Constructed from 15mm Baltic Birch plywood, using dado joints, screws and advanced composite adhesives.

Created to stand up to intense use. The cabinet is finished in an extremely durable, high-pressure black polyurethane coating. Drivers are protected by a black powder-coated, perforated steel grill, and the rear-mounted amplifier is protected by a set of integrated handles, which make carrying the boxes a breeze and provide clean, elegant lines to the enclosure.

Optional Suspension Hardware. Shoulder Eye Bolts: For use when flying cabinets vertically. Side-pull Anchors: For use when flying cabinets horizontally

Prodigious Amplification

The amplifier consists of 2 channels with a total of 1200W. The amplifier features extremely high dynamic power capacity, with 85 Volts peak output per channel, along with high damping of >10,000:1 Efficient, PFC power supply and class D output topology.

Exceptional dynamic resolution and detail along with precise control. Low current draw and light weight relative to the output capacity.

All the processing necessary for linear frequency response and phase coherent operation are pre-programmed into the DSP. With the comprehensive processing built in, BASSBOSS loudspeakers provide the ease of plug-and-play operation and the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the multiple limiter systems make to system virtually indestructible.

Rugged Drivers

Electrical power is converted into acoustical energy by an 9″ neodymium motor woofer. These premium-quality, drivers feature 2″ copper winding voice coils, and peak-to-peak excursion capability of up to 16mm.

High-intensity Neodymium magnets are lighter and provide higher efficiency so the result is a lighter and louder cabinet. A copper shorting cap provides for increased high frequency response and reduced distortion and a ventilated voice coil gap improves cooling and reduces thermal compression.

High frequencies are handled by a 1″ throat compression driver featuring a 36mm aluminum voice coil and a Mylar diaphragm mounted to a 90 degree by 60 degree rotatable horn.

The cones are waterproofed to protect them from possible, accidental exposure to moisture such as rain or spilled beverages. Waterproofed woofer cones also permit the cleaning of drivers that have been soiled in a dirty or dusty environment with the use of a damp cloth. Keep the amplifiers dry and party on!

Waterproofed cones in all products. Optional weatherized and weather resistant loudspeakers have the same acoustical performance as our standard options. If your system is likely to be exposed to rain, ask about IP rated amplification options. If you have need of a system for outdoor installation, ask about Weatherized products.

Focused Tuning

BASSBOSS speakers can be connected directly to your mixer with nothing but signal cable in between. The built-in processing is comprehensive and includes all necessary high-pass and low-pass filters along with equalization and phase alignment processing to ensure coherent response when deployed with BASSBOSS subwoofers.

There is no need for any additional EQ in the signal path for the speaker to provide a broad, flat frequency response. Sophisticated DSP programming ensures the speakers deliver consistent sound quality no matter the input level.

Plug-and play with peace of mind. Multiple, sophisticated protection systems make the loudspeaker virtually indestructible. You can turn on and turn up, all night, without fear of over-driving to the point of damage.

Preset Modes

The digital processor in the amplifier provides 4 presets, which allow the speaker to be used as a full-range system, as a satellite for a small subwoofer or as a main speaker with a larger subwoofer.

Preset 1: has the SV9 in full-range mode, offering frequency response to 40Hz with limiters engaged to prevent overdriving.

Preset 2: offers slightly more SPL and response to 60Hz.

Preset 3: provides another step up in SPL with the high-pass filter moved to 80Hz.

Preset 4: offers the highest peak SPL with the high-pass filter set at 100Hz.

Presets 3 and 4 are recommended when the SV8 is used with a subwoofer.
